PD Doctor – Partial discharge diagnostics

PD Doctor Coupler

Three-channel amplifier that boosts the weak signal of partial discharges and prepares it for further processing. This module is responsible for switching ranges, standardizing the signal, or extracting additional MV or HV level information.

PD Doctor Coupler

The coupler unifies signals from various types of sensors for PD Doctor Analyzer. It is also responsible for channel switching, selecting measuring range and providing environmental conditions, such as temperature, relative humidity, and pressure at the module’s location.

PD Doctor Coupler

Key features:

  • Multiple sensor types supported (capacitive, inductive)
  • AC synchronization with line voltage
  • Up-to 3 channels per unit
  • Integrated temperature, humidity and atmospheric pressure sensor
  • Solid construction suitable for outside environment

Capacitive sensor

Capacitive sensor for PD Coupler

The capacitive sensor is designed for connecting PD Doctor components to MV equipment directly on live parts up to 22 kV. It is used to collect the signal of partial discharges as well as the synchronization signal.

Inductive sensor

Inductive sensor for PD Coupler

The inductive sensor is designed for connecting PD Doctor components to non-voltage parts of MV equipment, primarily to the grounding wire of the measured device.
